Food is above average and very good. Prices are very good as well. I am editing this review from 5 stars down to three because of our last experience. The wait time was extremely long, waitress forgot everything I asked her for and got upset when I reminded her and the food was below average. The same sandwich I got which was spectacular the first time was scrawny and not very good at all the second time. I am guessing with the Ute Inn it depends on when you go, who is cooking and who is serving!

I watched some World Cup soccer and had lunch here yesterday for the first time in years. I ordered the spicy wings and really enjoyed them. It seem that the Ute is undergoing a transformation and is becoming a fun place to hang out, listen to live music and watch sports. There are even family friendly hours and more changes in store. As a local, I am glad to have a quality, inexpensive place for beers with friends, while not being afraid to take my family. They even have breakfast hours and homemade pies!

Good food, great service. A very nice historic site. The atmosphere was comfortable and the place is well kept and clean. Definitely a local place, which is what I look for when traveling (it's not a tourist trap, and the locals eat there... always a good sign). The food was good. Won't say it knocked my socks off, but it was fresh and enjoyable, and worth the prices they charge (not expensive). Our server (Jessica) was very friendly and very helpful, and that makes all the difference. We didn't hang out in the bar where there were group games going on (you can win a part of your check tab), but it sounded fun and lively and I would try it next time when I'm not suffering from jet lag. If you're looking for a simple meal that's well prepared, and want a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service, I would reccomend this place.

Waste of our time stopping in here on our vacation. We went in to get a bite to eat and a drink. We sat down and waited what seemed like forever waiting to get service... I saw some people up at the bar taking shots and I kept wondering when we would get service... much to my surprise the lady taking the shots was our server! She came over and gave us menus and we ordered a drink... the drink took forever to come. while we waited for it- a lot of locals came in and she served them right away. Finally the drinks came and we gave her the menus back and said we were just going to get a drink and eat somewhere else. She got a little snippy and said "sorry! I'm the only one her and it takes me a little longer!"... well you sure as hell found time to take shots with people and get 5 or more people their drinks. Do not bother! We had talked to some locals at a different place in town and told them about our experience and they said the place was a little sketchy and that you wouldn't want to leave your purse or phone unattended... STAY AWAY!

Food, booze, live music, football and fun. This is a locals bar that is very friendly and fun for people passing though Woodland Park. The atmosphere is very casual. Friday and Saturday nights can get lively especially if a live band is playing. Bingo with Kimmie and Robbie is great. Burgers are good and so is breakfast. Great nachos be sure to ask for real cheddar not the velvety stuff. Check it out.

Food and value were ok (bottomless fries are nice). Service in the restaurant section was HORRIBLE. Not only for us but, the others around us. They only have 8-10 tables. During our visit both waitress's kept leaving to socialize in the bar portion. Waited 25 minutes for drinks (yes we should have left but, had already unbundled our warm clothes)....Guests next to us ordered right before us (3-5 minutes). They got their food and left before ours arrived!

We pass by this place all the time on the way to our cabin and decided to give it a try. Wow! The food was excellent! My dad had the prime rib and it was really tasty. My mom had the NY steak and it was one of the best she's ever had. The prices are really reasonable for the quality and taste of the food. We will be stopping here and dining again for sure.

I was up for vacation and had the best buffalo burger here served by the friendliest waitress. The fresh cut french fries were superb!

Try the grilled cheeseburger!!! Also they have bottomless fries, but unlike red robin these are fries you want more of. There's also a full bar and usually some sort of music on the weekend

Nice atmosphere, great service, extremely clean bathroom! Yes, I am amazed at how clean and fancy the restroom was for a bar. :) They had South Park Pinball, and from the set up it seems they have a HUGE turn out for karaoke on Saturday nights. We weren't there for the karaoke party, but as someone who enjoys some karaoke I could tell it's quite the party just by the equipment set up on stage! The food was decent too. I had the Buffalo burger. Now this wasn't Ted Montana's by any means, but it was decent. Good start to a nice weekend!

Stopped for lunch and was disappointed. Waitress was pleasant, but not very helpful. Good menu that consists of standard bar food. Fairly cheap, but was only edible. My chicken was a little undercooked and the chili was mostly flavorless. The bar side seemed pretty nice. Good bar area some games and a pool table. I'd probably go back for drinks, but not to eat.

Came back after that experience years ago. Was much happier with the restaurant now. Burgers are great. We had the nachos as an appetizer, loved it. Can't speak for the bar but the restaurant was great

Again went here because of yelp. It's the regular bar scene in a small mountain town. But terrific food. We had the bison burger and pastrami sandwich. Both were Excellent. But really their crowning achievement were the fries. Cooked to perfection. Service was efficient and plesant. They were very accommodating with our requests. Would go back just for the fries! Ambience is your typical bar scene. But they have a small patio outside

Friendly bartenders and good food. The "owner" isn't all that friendly. He claims to have the best food in town and how he backs that up is by badmouthing every other restaurant in town. I find this completely unprofessional. If you have the best there is no need to speak poorly about people. Let your food do the talking Murphy!

One of the best places in town to eat. Everything we have tried is delicious. Great burgers and fries. Have been in several times for breakfast, which they have just recently started serving. I think they are still working on some details and they are very interested in getting everything right. The biscuits w/sausage gravy is very tasty. We've lived in Woodland Park since 1963 and always knew the Ute Inn as a dark dingy bar. Glad we decided to give it a try for dinner!

Wow, I'm impressed with this place. Came in hungry on a Tuesday about 2pm for lunch. We ordered the club sandwich, bacon burger, and chicken fried chicken with mac n cheese n mashed potatoes. Coke, tea and coffee were good. Sampled their green chili and not quite a fan, spicy. Got peach cobbler for dessert. All of it was good. Fries are beer battered and delish. Mashed potatoes are homemade. Batter on chicken fried chicken was great. The cobbler with vanilla ice cream was divine, it was like bread pudding. Ice cream was so good, asked the brand and it's Glenview Farms. Like I said in beginning, wow I'm impressed with this place!

Stopped in last weekend, had a bleu cheese burger which was cooked as I asked and very good. Ate more fries than I should have but damn they were good. Everyone in my group of 8 commented on how good they were. Only complaint was that they don't put mayonnaise on the club sandwich. Not sure if that's a regional thing but if you like it maybe ask when you order. My family is from out of state and are accustomed to having it served on the sandwich. Harder to put it on a club after the fact but no big deal and they still enjoyed it.

Great breakfast joint! No long lines like the Hungry Bear! Got the 2 Fer and would highly recommend it.

Excellent food but the worst service I've ever had. The waitress didn't seat us, took 30 minutes to even look at our table and come over an take our orders, didn't even come over and take the drink orders. She was by far the worst waitress I've ever had.

Service was good. The waitress was very sharp and presented herself well. My family got burgers and fries, I believe one was a bison burger. Food was average bar food; ok, no rant or rave needed. I was disappointed when they charged each of us extra 2 or 3 bucks per person because we got the sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. Really? They're potatoes people, they're not expensive...no need to be cheap! Prices are high for what you get, and higher than most bars. I do not recommend, will not return.

My girls make me take them to Ute pass once a week for steaks and potatoes! I personally love the steak burrito when they have it. The peach cobbler is the best I've ever tasted. Everyone is very friendly.

Good service, from attentive personable staff. Its a fun place on Friday and Sat nights when they have live music. It always seems though some punks playing pool in the back want to stir up trouble and get into fights with the other patrons, who are just out for a nice evening. Total run down dive that could use a lot of TLC. Don't eat here either the food is absolutely awful. As an example the burger was served with a bun that consisted of four slices of white wonder bread, with some nasty cheese melted in between the slices. How about serving it with a least a reasonable decent bun, and some fresh condiments, rather than vegies that might have been fresh last week. I don't know maybe my expectations are just too high??

This place just plain out sucks... Food was horrible, & the service was even worse. I think it may be one of the dirtiest bars I've been to. Attracts a rough crowd and there's a lot of bad vibes at the place. Will NEVER go back to this "historic" joint.

The burgers are a little slice of heaven. I've been here before and came back to celebrate my 12th wedding anniversary and couldn't have done better. Got an Alaskan beer which pairs nicely with any burger. The fries are amazing and there was no room for desert. This is quickly moving to the top of my list for local restaurants.

BEST NACHOS YET!! Perfectly crafted, enjoyed on Open Mike Night to the hymns of local talent - melted cheese, beans, tomatoes, olives, lettuce, jalapenos on homemade corn chips, sides of salsa, guac, sour cream which I *didn't* have to ask for, all in perfect harmony. Better every time, not sure they can top this!! Following Tues, branched out to a Patty Melt (bison) with handcut sweet potato fries on a Gluten-Free bun that was so good I was afraid to eat it! Tasted like REAL FOOD!! Burger expertly grilled to my specs, fries garlicky and yummy - I could die happy. But then I couldn't come back for more. Well done, Ute, thank you!!

Delicious dinner tonight at the Historic Ute Inn in Woodland Park. Congrats to the new owners. We finally have a good burger in Woodland Park!!!! If, like me, you've been here in the past and weren't impressed with the food it's definitely worth another try. It's amazing what fresh ingredients and a little bit of love will do. Definitely one of the top three places to eat in WP now.

Loved this place so much! The staff was all really sweet and attentive. The owners are really awesome humans who seem like they're in business for all of the right reasons. Loved the rustic and historical feel. Try the carrot cake! I had the mushroom and Swiss burger with a chicken breast and my date had the club sandwich. Delicious!

The Speecy Spicey Burger has green chilis and pepperjack cheese- add in a cold draft beer and this bar is my kind of place.

The food was good, but the service was a bit confused. We had a group of seven altogether and enjoyed the food, but there was nothing that really made the place stand out. The steaks were cooked well, but the orders didn't come out correctly. Probably the biggest was when the kitchen mistook a sirloin for the prime rib we ordered - it was cooked well, but still, not the prime rib we ordered. When we pointed it out, the wait staff came back to let us know that the kitchen insisted that it was a prime rib because it was out of the same bag. The owners came by to check in on us and were nice and attentive. Overall, a nice place and the food was cooked well, but a lot of it seemed canned/frozen and the orders were a little mixed up. We did not try the burgers, which seem to be one of the main draws. Would like try those next time if we come back again.

This place is great!! I've been a couple times for burgers, which are top notch(and I'm picky!). Went for open mic night and I'll be back! Great fun and great people! Thanks to the new owners who are friendly and have created a great space not only for a couple drinks, but a great dinner and family night out.

Best burger and onion rings and fries in town. Great place to stop in for lunch. Fast too, which sets it apart up here in the mountains.

This would be a 1 1/2 rating. Service is slow....... the quality of the food would not be bad if maybe we were drinking. The only redeeming item was their coffee. They provide bottomless fries but you can taste old oil. oh by the way service was SLOW.
